The Figure of the Year for 2009 has been marvellously sculpted for Royal Doulton by esteemed designer Valerie Annand. She has a multi-tiered dress in cream which is wonderfully shaded in tones of pink, decorated over with a design based on the cherry blossom which spirals around its edge, and finished with the border lavishly decorated in gold. Grace is the nineteenth Figure of the Year, with production strictly limited to 2009, the year of issue.
