In 1893 Beatrix Potter wrote a picture letter about the adventures of a rabbit named Peter to amuse a sick young child. Now, more than a century later, Peter Rabbit is one of the world's best loved nursery characters. In 1902 a full-color book was printed and has been a success since. In 1947 Beswick Studio gave their approval for the first figurine. Through the years the Beatrix Potter collection has grown to more than 100 characters and is loved by collectors from all over the world, both young and old.
