J&G Meakin formed what was to be a long and successful partnership. They were based at the now famous Eagle Pottery where their bold and visionary ideas were well in advance of their time. The majority of Meakins wares were made for export to the USA and British Empire Colonies. After the war pictureware patterns were produced. In addition to these many beautiful patterns, in 1951 their centenary year Meakin produced a range of commemorative wares, these wares along with their picture ware series have now become highly collectable
