Royal Doulton Micky`s One Man Band Royal Doulton Disney Showcase Figurine MM29 Micky`s One Man Band Royal Doulton Disney Showcase Figurine MM29
"Bang, Crash, Wallop!" Mickey cheerfully plays along to the music, which was firstly eaten by the ship's goat, who then turned into a phonograph. This superbly crafted scene shows Mickey playing a beat using all the utensils around him that eventually wakes Captain Pete!

The first Disney figurine to be designed was Mickey Mouse in 1952.
This figurine was extremely popular as everyone had seen him on the big screen and it reminded people of their childhood. Following in this tradition, Royal Doulton has created this wonderful range of Mickey figurines. Each piece is hand-made and hand-decorated, and bears the prestigious Royal Doulton backstamp and unique reference number. Mickey Mouse is arguably the most famous of the Disney cartoon characters. Making his debut in "Steamboat Willie", Mickey went on to star in over 120 different cartoons. He also starred in "The Mickey Mouse Club" television show of the 1950s.Mickey's original drawings used circles for his head, body and ears. But 1939 saw a bold, new design for Mickey as his body became more pear-shaped and pupils were added to his eyes to increase his range of expression. Later on, animators of the 1940s would add a perspective aspect to his ears, giving them a three-dimensional effect. But this was short-lived. The Mickey Mouse of today appears much as he did in the early days with the exception of a costume change here and there.
